5 Days of Training on VSLA Approach
ARM Burundi conducted capacity-building training for its agents working in the province of Gitega from March 17 to 21, 2025 on the theme titled “Nawe Nuze”. As always, the activity began and ended with a prayer, as God holds the first place in everything we do.
The activities were officially inaugurated by the Director of ARM Burundi, Mrs. Vestine KANYAMUNEZA. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of ongoing training for the personal and professional development of staff, along with ARM Burundi’s commitment to strengthening the capacities of its teams. She also expressed her gratitude to the participants and guests, encouraging them to make the most of this learning opportunity.
During these five days, from March 17 to 21, the training was led by facilitators Didace Nshimirimana and Joseph Bizimana. The sessions were conducted in the participants’ native language, Kirundi, to ensure that everyone could hear and fully understand the teachings. Participants also had numerous opportunities to ask questions to deepen their understanding. The ARM project coordinator, Dieudonné Nsabimana, oversaw the smooth running of activities and supported the trainers to ensure that participants effectively grasped the modules on associations and cooperatives.
Throughout the training, coffee breaks and lunches were provided, along with reflection moments and fun activities to encourage relaxation, both indoors and outdoors.
