ARM Burundi Supports Education: School Supplies Distribution
On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, ARM Burundi proceeded with the distribution of school materials at the ACVS Jabe center, located in the Jabe neighborhood, in Mukaza commune in Bujumbura. This initiative mainly targeted children who are beneficiaries of our programs, in order to support their educational journey for the 2025-2026 academic year.
The ceremony took place in a warm and solemn atmosphere, under the presidency of the National Director of ARM Burundi, accompanied by the Financial Manager of the organization. During this event, each child received a package of school materials including 12 notebooks, 10 pens, a ruler, a math kit, as well as a class diary for those pursuing their studies in secondary schools.
In addition to these supplies, ARM Burundi decided to provide financial assistance by offering each child a sum of 60,000 FBu. This amount aims to help them cover their school fees and encourage them in their educational journey, thus demonstrating the organization’s commitment to their future.
The event concluded with words of encouragement spoken by the National Director, who emphasized the importance of education and prayed for wisdom and divine blessing upon these young people. The ceremony ended with taking a group photo, highlighting the joy and gratitude of the children, happy to receive these materials that will enable them to better follow their classes.
Furthermore, it should be noted that these distribution activities were also carried out the previous weekend, on September 12 and 13, in Butanyerera province, notably in Ngozi, for the benefit of children who are beneficiaries of the ACVS Ngozi project; as well as in Gitega province for former street children and those from the Batwa community. These interventions, conducted in the presence of ARM Burundi’s Project Coordinator, allowed these children to receive an allocation of 50,000 FBu, in addition to school materials, as well as uniforms and soap to promote their daily hygiene. These actions are part of the organization’s continued efforts to support the overall development of these young people.
These actions demonstrate ARM Burundi’s constant commitment to improving learning conditions and supporting vulnerable children, by providing them with concrete tools for their development, while bringing them hope and encouragement for a better future.
