A Day of Sharing at the Nezerwa Kibondo Orphanage Center

The last day of 2025, Wednesday, December 31st, was marked by a great surge of solidarity at the Nezerwa Kibondo Orphanage Center in the Carama locality. Under the high patronage of its National Director, ARM Burundi successfully orchestrated a significant distribution of food and supplies for the benefit of the resident children.

This orphanage, currently home to 40 children deprived of family support, has now received crucial assistance for their daily lives. The initiative, part of ARM Burundi’s ongoing support actions for vulnerable populations, involved delivering a shipment consisting notably of 640 kg of rice, as well as clothing and shoes for each child.

This wonderful operation is the result of an exemplary collaboration between ARM Burundi and its strategic partners: YWAM for clothing, Team Hope for gifts intended to brighten the children’s day, and Feed The Hungry for the rice.

The ceremony, filled with emotion, featured a speech by Madam Capitoline MBONIMPA, the head of the orphanage. She expressed her profound gratitude to ARM Burundi and its partners for this generosity and compassion that address concrete and pressing needs.

The National Director of ARM Burundi then detailed the assistance provided, reaffirming the organization’s lasting commitment to standing alongside the most vulnerable. Afterwards, the distribution took place in a warm and joyful atmosphere, illuminated by the smiles and spontaneous reactions of the children.

This day, beyond the mere distribution of material goods, was a true moment of sharing and hope. It perfectly illustrates the mission of ARM Burundi: to act concretely to improve the living conditions of the most disadvantaged. The beaming faces of the children and the sincere thanks from the orphanage’s leadership remain the most beautiful testimony to the positive impact of this collective action.
