It began in 1993, with a few children of pastors and local people who needed to be mentored. Alongside spiritual guidance, academic training immediately proved to be inseparable. From there, a nursery section, then primary, and to this day, there is a fundamental section. The school’s capacity is around 800 students. Note that each year this school must have more than 50 orphans or indigents who are exempt from tuition fees because of their indigence. The HIMBAZA School is a school which follows the National education program.
The development of the school is very slow due to the lack of funding to support the school’s activities. All the staff is national and is made up of 17 teachers, 3 administration executives, 1 driver, 3 orderlies. The school also uses 10 part-time teachers and 2 others who assist in the teaching of English and 1 In computer science. The school is in the same plot as the Living Church, which does not cause a problem since the Living Church and ARM Burundi maintain a lasting strategic partnership since the visionary was the same, Pastor David Ndaruhutse. Like the CMCC Jabe, a written agreement between ARM Burundi and Eglise Vivante seems essential to establish the terms of use of the plot on which the School buildings are erected.
