It is a project initiated by ARM-Burundi in 1998. It works in Bujumbura, Ngozi and Gitega. This project provides medical and psychosocial care for 1,164 people living with HIV/AIDS, including 165 orphans. Since 2008, ACVS has been financed in medical equipment and medicines by the “Solidarité Protestantes de Belgique”. This funding ended in December 2016. The management of ARM-Burundi did not have the audacity to leave the beneficiaries to their fate, and thus the project remained functional. It should be noted that the beneficiaries, staff, as well as the rent of the Ngozi PLHIV care center were temporarily covered by the two clinics JABE and ROHERO. ARM Burundi was able to purchase a plot of land for the construction of its own center if funds were available in order to reduce operating costs by paying rent. ARM Burundi is looking for a funder for the construction of its own center in Ngozi on the plot already purchased.
