It is an international school of ARM with a British curriculum. It has 3 sections namely nursery, primary & secondary.  It has 3 sections namely nursery, primary and secondary. It started its activities in 1997 in Bujumbura town  with the nursery and primary sections. These children are taught at King’s School and follow the British curriculum up to the last cycle “A Level”. Pupils who complete their higher education at this school have access to all international universities. It should be noted that this school has more than 50 orphans and destitute children from ARM (Kinindo Orphanage) who continue their education free of charge from kindergarten to the end of the full humanities. In addition to support from the churches of England and World Emergency Relief -UK, the school operates 90% with funds generated from school fees paid by the parents. The school currently has about 30 expatriate teachers, 50 nationals, 7 administrative staff and 38 support staff. The other teachers come to give courses on a temporary basis. The capacity of the school is approximately 1000 students.

The King’s School brings added value to the Burundian education system. Burundi is a French-speaking member of the East African Community (EAC), which includes Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Sudan and, very recently, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). These East African countries have begun a process of economic and political integration that should lead to a free trade area, i.e. a common market with the ultimate goal of economic union, the creation of a common currency and a federation of member states. Burundi’s accession to this East African economic and political integration process in July 2007 was hailed as an important event for the political future of the Burundian people. Apart from the DRC and Burundi, English is the official language in the other EAC countries. As the King’s School is English-speaking, it contributes to the integration of Burundi into the EAC. In short, the training provided in English and the graduates of English-speaking schools bring added value to the integration of both young Burundians seeking employment and the children of residents of English-speaking countries living in Burundi.

It was founded in 1993, with some children of the pastors and people from the neighbourhood who needed to be trained. In addition to the spiritual care, a school education was immediately necessary. From there, a kindergarten section, then a primary section, and today there is a fundamental school. The school has a capacity of about 800 children. It should be noted that each year this school must have more than 50 orphans or indigents who are exempted from school fees because of their indigence. HIMBAZA School is a school that follows the National Education Programme.

The progress of the school is very slow due to the lack of funding to support the school’s activities. All the staff is national and consists of 17 teachers, 3 administrative staff, 1 driver, 3 messengers. The school also uses 10 part-time teachers and 2 others who assist in teaching English and 1 in computer science. The school is in the same plot as Eglise Vivante, which is not a problem since Eglise Vivante and ARM Burundi have an enduring strategic partnership since the visionary was the same, Pastor David Ndaruhutse. Like CMCC Jabe, a written agreement between ARM Burundi and Eglise Vivante would seem to be mandatory in order to establish the conditions of use of the plot of land on which the school buildings are located.
